Metal Detecting & Gold Cradling: Goldfields Relics: Victorian Silver: Garrett AT Pro.

Part I: We make a visit to an 1876 North Queensland Goldfields site, where we try our hand at some fine gold prospecting the old fashioned way with a replica 19th Century Gold Cradle (rocker box), while Mrs NQ hunts the creeks with her AT Pro. Not much gold to be had, just a half a dozen specks, but Mrs NQ comes up with a beautiful Victorian Silver Shilling and a Victorian Penny, left behind by the ‘Old Timers’ from among the water and cobbles in the creek bed. Another find provides a direct link to the Chinese miners on the field, and the opium trade. Thanks for watching and subscribing, please visit our blog www.nqexplorers.com

Metal detecting live video: live gold find with the ETrac: something eating the gold?

Double click on video to full screen and press Esc when you wish to go back to the normal size screen 3 1/2 hour hunt. Incredible day.The rain definitely helped me penetrate the ground better and the ETrac and 18 x 15 SEF coil (like 1 3/4 x standard coil) covered more ground and found silver and gold The soil is very clay so I guess when the coin falls, it eventually gets into a clod of clay and stays there until somebody finds it. Interestingly, when I first saw the gold coin, there was discolouration or what I thought was discolouration on the coin, In fact, it was something trying to eat the metal. But it hadn’t been able to and died on exposure to air I have been detecting for 2 1/2 years with my ETrac and SunRay probe. I am out normally about 20 hours a week andI have 4 gold and silver finds being analysed at the British Museum under the Treasure Act more info at www.metaldetectingagency.co.uk

I did this beach last year…lots of signals..but seemed to be trash everywhere..lots of rocks too and the sand was more like cement…so I gave it a miss. But – as part of my motto is “Never Give Up”…I went back. Good decision! Cheers.

Metal Detecting Soccer Field $4.56 and Meteorite from Alien World of Gold coins

Found a Meteorite or maybe its a molten hunk of iron from a farmers tractor. Dunno but its super cool lookin and heavy. Soccer Field Complex yielded $4.56 in coins. This is the very first place ive gone metal detecting with the new Bounty Hunter Tracker IV 4 Four detector. Got my setup complete with trash bucket, towel, and mini shovel. The first two days out I kinda hyper extended my elbow from the sweeping action. But afterwards my arm got stronger and now it feels fine. Theres a few new places im going to try next, an old abandoned convenience store from around the 1960’s, and an old abandoned gas station. They might be a nightmare filled with trash objects but i want to find some super old coins n stuff. Then i’ll check out some more sports playing fields and beach areas at a nearby lake. thanks for watching!
